Hello Crafty friends! Today I'm sharing a wooden box I altered using Maja Design "Vintage Spring Basics" paper collection scraps. Let me say that I absolutely love this paper collection! I'm not really a frilly type of crafter (I'm working on that)...but this paper collection really brings out my inner girly-girl.
Update: I was asked, so here is the answer....I purchased this paper collection, "Vintage Spring Basics" by Maja Design at The Rubber Buggy. They have a very nice selection of Maja paper pads and single sheets (and other scrapping supplies) and seem to ship almost immediately.
I found this little purse-shaped wooden box in Michael's craft store for 50 cents. I painted it with metallic paint and added dots with modeling paste on the sides to add some texture. I also painted the metal elements on the box.
Maybe this would be considered shabby chic?
I had a cameo embellishment that really came to life surrounded by these paper designs. I fussy cut flowers and butterflies from the paper, added some lace and flower blooms.
I actually used scraps to cover the inside of the box! I added a Prima resin window and more flower blooms....and I made a few distressed tags.
Thank you for stopping by! Happy crafting!!
